Ireland Is Likely to Mirror Broader European Trends, With Fewer People Able To Afford Retirement In Their 60s

At a practical level, a different type of shift is already becoming apparent.

According to data compiled by Littler, an employment law and labour practice, the number of people in Ireland working beyond 66 rose 40% between 2020 and the end of 2025, from 77,300 to 108.300.
